April 2010. Cogn8, the joint venture consultancy set up in 2009 by Steven Esom, formerly MD of Waitrose and Sara Pearson, CEO of The Spa Way, has acquired a majority stake in Product Chain, one of the UK’s most established and successful sales companies.

Founded by Simon Dunn in 1991, Product Chain has been instrumental to the success of a number of high profile brands including; Ecover, Copella Fruit Juices, Dentyl pH and Grove Fresh. Simon will be staying on as a Director as will Commercial Director, Charles Foden, and Finance Director, Jenny Green.

Cogn8 has built up a strong consultancy business in a very short period of time and is presently creating, re-engineering and expanding brands for a number of UK
and international companies. The acquisition of Product Chain enables
Cogn8 to provide a unique ‘seed to harvest’ proposition to its clients.

In addition to Cogn8, Steven Esom is also a senior partner in Langholm
Private Equity where he brings to bear his extensive retail experience not
only with Waitrose but also with M&S and Sainsbury. Sara Pearson who has considerable brand development experience as the co-owner of leading
dental brand, Dentyl pH, also continues to run her successful PR company.
